Daily Comic Journal: April 21, 2017: “Three Things That Made Me Smile Today.”
A friend of mine recently commented to me that my comics have been too depressing lately. So, today I decided to write about some things that have made me happy lately.
Not sure if this e-mail my friend sent me today will lead to anything, or if the Penguins will win the second round of the playoffs or if Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 will be as great as the first film, but as of today, all three things have put a smile on my face.
Your comics aren’t depressing. They are uplifting because you manage to get through very difficult times with your head still on.
Thanks. I agree, I don’t think they’re depressing, I always try to put a funny spin on whatever occurs in my life. But the friend who pointed that out brought up a good point, that a possible employer could read just a handful of my comics and assume I’m a depressing, downer of a person.
