As much as I may complain about or criticize Linkedin, I will admit I’d gotten some job interviews through there, even got my five week freelance gig at Spirit Halloween last year through an interview I got from Linkedin. One reason I believe this happens is there’s no “resume drop”, no applying with the masses. A possible employer can see not only my work history, but images of my work as well. Most importantly, the woman I spoke with works at the company. She wasn’t recruiter, so no “middle man” here. Directly to the source.

The less said about dealing with customer service for a phone company, who don’t know how to use the phone or uses faulty phone technology, the better.

Many of you I’m sure aren’t sports fans and even less so, hockey fans, but each spring with the Penguins in the playoffs, I’m on the edge of my seat, sweating out every shift and game.
