As a history junkie, movies like this one are made for me. Also, I need to reiterate, that Nolan’s simultaneous story telling here does take getting used to and at times, may take you out of the story as you try to figure out which one you’re watching. But it’s a unique and effective choice.

Oh, one more thing. I was kind of amused that actor Tom Hardy, who play RAF pilot Farrier, spends about 95% of the film with his face covered (see top photo below). It dawned on me that this isn’t the first time Hardy has chosen a role where his face is hidden throughout. In 2015 as Max in “Mad Max” Fury Road” (see my comic review here) his face is covered in the first 1/3 of the film (see middle photo below). While in 2012 as Bane in “The Dark Knight Rises” (see my comic review here) his face is covered during the entire film (see bottom photo).
