This was SO hard for me to do.

I know I can do the job and the fact that they were calling me meant that they were happy with the work I did for them last year, but…. I just couldn’t do that commute again.

I’m not sure how many of you have or ever had to drive an extremely long commute to and from work. If you’ve never had to do that, you can’t possibly understand how much it can wear away at you. Both physically (and that includes your car) and mentally. Add the cost of gas and the tolls, it all cuts away at what money you take home.

Taking all that into account, it really hurt me to have to say no.
