During my nearly 3 years of unemployment, if anything could possibly bring me optimism about an interview, it’d be having to travel a long distance to do so. Last year, oddly enough also in early November, I had to travel to Charlottesville for a job interview and I got that job!  Of course, it turned out to be nothing more than a 3, 4 month contract and I never got 40 hours in a week, never got medical, never got any promises they made and was once again, unemployed.

But still, I DID do well with that long distance interview and DID get hired. It’s not my fault that the company had a lousy 2016 and began laying people off.
