As a history fan and a fan of Ken Burns films, I’ve been looking forward to this, his 10 part feature of “The Vietnam War” and I was NOT disappointed!

Back in the 1990’s when his “Civil War” series premiered, it was a huge hit and had lots of great word of mouth, but I’m not sensing that same reaction to this series (to be fair, I was working at Hallmark in the 1990’s and was in contact with a lot of people during the day, every day, unlike now when I’m usually home alone) and if it’s not getting as many viewers or as much interest as “Civil War” I think that’s a damn shame.

This is a powerful series that not only covers that war from it’s very beginnings but gives an in depth perspective from those who fought, were prisoners and experienced deaths of loved ones, from both sides of the conflict.

This is a must see for any American who not only wants to learn more detailed information of the Vietnam War but to also see how it and it’s fallout, has lead this country and it’s people to where we are today.
