One more thing about those companies that won’t start your Health Insurance until you’ve worked three months after you’ve started, is the salary package. Companies will include your health coverage with your compensation package so you’d think, hey, that must mean your take home pay would be higher for those first three months, right? That makes sense, since they’re not spending money on your health insurance during those first 90 days. Right?

Nope.

I’m sure companies would give excuse after excuse why they don’t cover employees on day one and I did ask those interviewers, but none of them gave me a good answer. They’d almost always answer with, “Well, that’s the way we do things.”

That’s not an answer.
