Daily Comic Journal: August 25, 2018: “Is It Live Or Is It A Xerox?”
Not sure how many, if anyone at all, will get the title to this comic.
This isn’t the first time I talked about going to an old theater. About seven years ago I talked about the old Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, Pa. The Lamp theater, that I talk about today, is a great story, about how a group of people helped revitalize a unique structure in their home town of Irwin. In case you’re interested, here’s a link where you can read the story of Lamp Theater. On that site you can see photos featuring the great job they did of restoring the old building.
While I’m offering links, here’s a link to that Beatles tribute band that I saw tonight.
Isn’t the saying “Is it live or is it Memorex?”
Yep. When I was thinking of a title for today’s comic, that old ad slogan immediately came to mind (especially with the Memorex/Xerox similarity), but when I wrote it I wondered how many people would remember the ad campaign, let alone audio tapes!
