Daily Comic Journal: December 22, 2019: “The Cold Or The Cats? Decisions, Decisions…”
If that mouse could hear me through the glass (or for that matter understand English) he’d be wise to heed my words. Over the years Linus and Lucy have proven to be effective mousers.
Back in 2013, in my house in Audubon they detected something, is it a mouse?
Eventually flushing him out into the open.
And eventually they finished him off.
Sure, they’re cats, they’re supposed to chase mice, but that field mouse better warn the local snakes as well. Linus and Lucy have also caught snakes. Not just once, but twice as well.
I think there’s an old adage that you don’t have “a mouse” – you have “mice”.
Except mice aren’t that smart and WILL come inside if they can find a way in. You shouldn’t feed them, it will just attract more. If they get in they’ll chew things up and poop and pee over everything. They can also spread diseases like the Hanta virus. Once one finds a way in, the rest will follow their scent trails. They can cause untold amounts of damage in between the time they find their way in and by the time you notice them. If that happens hopefully you can figure out how their getting in ASAP.
