Robert Conrad’s most popular performances are probably as James West on “The Wild Wild West”, as Major Greg ‘Pappy’ Boyington on “Black Sheep Squadron” and as the killer Milo Janus in the episode “An Exercise on Fatality” on the 4th season premiere of “Columbo”.

But oddly enough, he may have achieved his greatest notoriety as the pitchman for Energizer batteries in the 1980’s when he dared people to knock the battery off his shoulder.
