Yes, I know, that phone call could have been a spam call (because I didn’t recognize the number) but when you’ve been out of work for nearly a year and you’re still answering open positions online you never know when it might be one of those jobs trying to contact you. So you take the call, race upstairs where there’s cell coverage, hope they didn’t hang up yet and hope it’s some positive news. As it is, it was just another recruiter who can’t speak English telling you that you’d be a great match for the job, takes your information and promises that they’ll keep in touch.

Which, with my experience with these calls, won’t happen.
