Despite whether I liked or didn’t like this film.

Despite whether it was a good film or a bad.

Despite any technical aspect or discussions on the script or choices by the actors.

Despite any of that, I got to know…. why in the world did composer Ennio Morricone reuse, for this soundtrack, many pieces from his 1982 soundtrack for “The Thing”?????? That music was the perfect compliment to John Carpenter’s horror masterpiece and it’s particularly creepy atmospheric sound is so indelibly connected to that film that when Tarantino uses it here, it takes me out of this film and gets me thinking, “wait a minute, am I watching “Hateful Eight” or “The Thing”?”
