Granted, this small TV screen in the gym isn’t a high def or high quality TV monitor, but then I don’t expect to to be. Which really makes my point here. Too many times film makers adhere to filming a scene as realistically as possible. If the scene takes place during a torrential downpour, then the scene is covered in water. If the scene takes place in the black of night, then it’s totally black. But the problem with these choices is, we the viewer can’t make out what’s going on. There has to be some sort of leeway, some (for want of a better word) cheating. If going forward our entertainment will be appearing on a variety of screens, unless the creators don’t keep that in mind, we won’t be able to see what’s going on.
