Remembering a scene from a film obviously has a lot to do with where it fits into the movie and how much it added to your enjoyment. But, for me, when it comes to enjoying these Marvel films and these particular scenes, what helps to make them memorable to me was how they reflected on the original comic books that they’re based off of and how much I enjoyed reading them when I was a kid.

The confrontational battle scene at the airport in “Captain America: Civil War” reminded me of so many images from the comics, like these:

And when Cap finally lifts Mjolnir in “Avengers: Endgame” brought back memories of when he originally did so in the comics:
