Daily Comic Journal: June 26, 2021: “Phone Home.”
I don’t know what surprised me more…
That someone found the phone and went out of their way to see that it was returned to the rightful owner.
Or
That I got my phone back without a scratch or crack on it.
I called Assurance, the company that carries the protection for my phone and when I told them that I’d gotten back my phone and therefore wouldn’t need the replacement, they were fine with that. They cancelled the charge on my credit card for the deductible and instructed me how to return it postage free.
I think over all I dodged a bullet here.
A few years back, I found a phone outside the Pitcairn Post Office. Took it inside to give to the worker (small P.O., so only one worker). She called a recent “contact” on the phone and asked that person to communicate to the owner where their phone could be picked up. Sometimes good things happen; other times a$$hats steal phones.
