I’d say any pop hit from 1986 onward I’m pretty ignorant with. I was in my mid-twenties working at Hasbro and living in New England when I discovered WBRU, the college station from Brown University. It was like a breath of fresh air hearing all those unique bands and singers.

Now, when I play this “Guess the year” game with the American Top 40 songs from the 1980’s, I’m pretty good guessing the years from 1980-85, though I will admit, when they play a song from a movie soundtrack it’s pretty easy to guess the year, if you know what year the movie came out in.
