I recently caught some reruns of the first season of “Bob’s Burgers” and I can see why it took me a while to warm up to it. It felt as if the writers and the voice actors were trying to find themselves in those 13 episodes. Fortunately, the network stuck with it and it got better and better. Like I said in the comic, there’s always a feeling of ‘padding’ when you take a 30 minute show (well, 22 minus plus 8 minutes of commercials) and turn it into a 90 minute film with no commercial breaks. To do that, they’ve added some songs and subplots but stuck with the same characterizations and humor. I’m glad I got out to see it.
