I realize that Anna Kendrick was the lead (or co-lead) in all of those “Pitch Perfect” films (which I’ve never seen, BTW) but I can’t stand her as a lead. She comes across as annoying to me. Now, that’s not the main reason why I didn’t think this film works, but it sure didn’t help.
