Daily Comic Journal: April 19, 2022: “Quiet On The Set!!”
I suppose someone reading this is thinking “Well buddy, why don’t you just turn the TV off?” Well… I’ve been loving alone (with the exception of a pet cat or two) since 1983 and over the years I’ve gotten into the habit of usually having something on in the background. My stereo, radio or the TV. I guess it just feels comforting to have “noise’ on. Unfortunately, with the TV, and to a lesser extent the radio, at this time of the year that means dealing with political ads. Many, many political ads. And this is only the spring!
Wait until the fall.
That’d why I don’t really miss DirecTV. We had to ditch in 4 years ago due to budget reasons. I had actually been watching a lot less DIRECTV by that point anyway and a lot of YouTube so it wasn’t that big of a deal and even turned my back on more then one show, because of how bad the ads were even with the DVR. Plus I was having to juggle the schedule because more then one show was running longer then the 30 or 60 minute slot to have more commercials.
