This company has been housed in this building since the 1950’s, so the offices are old, the hallways are old and the tools and machinery that makes the bubble gum are old. In fact, it seems that many of the people who are working here have been doing so for a long, long time. Since my first day here I’d overhear the “long timers” grumbling and complaining, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see people looking dour and shuffling about as a daily routine. But on this spring day, there was something else. Something that signaled to me, that told me that this time, this day, was different.
