Daily Comic Journal: January 22, 2018: “Maybe It’s The Cannonball Express.”
I must admit, the first few days that I’d heard this train whistle (and believe me, it’s VERY loud) I was a bit startled. But I adjusted pretty quickly, as has everyone else here. Though there are times when I hear someone trying to conduct business over the phone, that for them this wailing whistle can be a bit annoying.
Growing up my bedroom window was literally (true definition) less than 20 yards from the train tracks. The.whole house would shake when the train passed. It was like being rocked to sleep. Friends who stayed overnight had a very different opinion.
