Daily Comic Journal: January 22, 2019: “I’m Not Asking For The Nuclear Codes.”
I was pretty baffled by their responses. I can’t just drag images from their site, cause the resolution is too small and a vector version of their logo would be much, much, sharper than another small resolution image from their site. Yet the woman I spoke with made it seem as if I was trying to get some top secret work or precious images from them. I kept explaining that all the stuff I was asking for would be used to make THEIR final work on the monitors look better.
Finally, before we hung up, she said she’d look for it on her end and get back to me.
I’m not gonna hold my breath waiting.
Haha! I’ve also experienced that. I think that a lot of times, they don’t have easy access to those high-res files and will make any excuse to not go to the effort of tracking them down. I’ve had pretty good luck getting vector graphics from annual report PDFs, though.
I agree, that I’m sure their response and attitude has a lot to do because those files aren’t easily at hand, but they do exist. Back in the pre-digital days it was frustrating to track down much needed images, but at least they had an excuse. Physical files and images could be difficult to dig up. But now? Now when EVERYTHING is uploaded and easy to find. No, I just chalk this up to laziness.
