This came as a surprise to me. My mom may be 93 but she’s been living by herself since my dad died in 2011 and has been able to do what needs to be done pretty easily, so I guess this was a surprise to hear today. Another reason that this came as a surprise to me is that she’s always loved to drive. I’m guessing that she’s probably been driving for nearly 80 years and when you’re used to having the freedom of getting in a car and driving to anywhere at anytime, to admit to yourself that you shouldn’t do this any longer, well, that’s pretty difficult to do. My sister and I will be able to take her where and when she needs to go anywhere anymore.
