Needless to say, I was surprised by what she said. I didn’t think my talking and spending time with her son was important, but I suppose if that time, talking about things and watching me draw made him happy, I guess I’m glad I did it. Though like I say in the last panel, things could have turned out horribly wrong, a kid spending time at an adult artist’s apartment, if they weren’t good people.

Hopefully their lives turned out well.
