When my neighbor surprised me by asking if her son could come by to watch me draw. when I said yes I didn’t feel right. Not particularly because I wouldn’t want to help her son, maybe by giving him pointers in drawing, because of how it would look. I mean, I really don’t know this woman and definitely don’t know her son. Who’s to say what they’re really like. He could be a bad kid, could lie and make things up.

When we spoke he sounded like a typical kid, though at times he sounded  somewhat down, maybe because his parents are divorced. I tried to be encouraging, tried to be a good listener. When he left though, I did some thinking, that to be on the safe side I should try to avoid his coming over again.

By the way, I was wearing my “Great Gazoo” T-shirt. That shirt is long gone, but I miss it. It was a good shirt.
