Yes, that’s correct. Siemens made a job offer and I accepted.
When do I start? (BTW, the job is 100% remote so there’ll be no commuting) I’m not sure when my first day will be, but damn, I’m employed again!
Who’d have thought that a 61 year old person (nearly 62) could get hired in this day and age.
Congratulations! (rather belatedly, of course). And yes, I’m surprised too – I were unemployed at the same age and only got out of it due to inheriting enough money to retire (though one of my friends got a job just after his 60th birthday – but then he is a teacher, a field where experience is often highly prized)
