I can understand how different restaurants, different franchises, have different pay structures. Like how Eat ‘N Park or Bob Evans can keep staffed so they can stay open later (as I noted in this comic from 11/21/21) while that Denny’s, just down the street from them, couldn’t. Maybe the Denny’s corporation pays much less than the other, similar restaurants does. But we ate today at another Denny’s and they stay open at night. I wonder why? They’re only 13 miles or so away from each other (both on the same major road, route 30), though they’re in different counties, but that shouldn’t make a difference it how much they pay their employees.
