I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised that there was something else on the car that needed updated/replaced in order to pass State Inspection. Seems like there’s always something. While it’s true that my car hadn’t been Inspected and “legal” since 2020, my registration and auto insurance has been paid for every year, so I wasn’t a complete scofflaw I guess. I’m fortunate that I was never stopped and ticketed during all this time. Oh, and before anyone  wondering why I’d be worried about the brake pads cost, since I just got that $23,000, that money’s got to cover expenses for … well, I don’t know how long. I could say until I get a job, but we all know how that’s going.
