There may be some of you reading this who’ve never heard of, let alone played the Mouse Trap Game. The game’s been around for over 50 years. My sisters and I played the 1960’s version when it was being made by it’s original company, Ideal (it’s still been made today but by Hasbro who’s bought just about every toy company except Mattel and Lego).

You played the game, going around the board, slowly building the Rube Goldberg-esque elaborate mouse trap. When to was finally constructed you attempted to catch the mouse with this trap and… it almost never worked. But it was fun building the trap!
