Daily Comic Journal: October 7, 2018: “Wait, Isn’t This Supposed To Be Fast Food?”
Full disclosure, since I’ve lived away from this area for over 30+ years I didn’t have that many opportunities to go to this Burger King and since I remember the year it opened, I have that memory in my mind. Also, this Burger King shares the space with a K-Mart and as we all know, K-Mart’s across the country have been dying a long, slow, lingering death.
All that in mind, it’s really no excuse to allow itself to have deteriorated so badly like this. Both in look and in service.
I’d stop in that Burger King occasionally – there never was another customer in it when I was there. I’m surprised they outlasted K-mart.
I did a little research and found out that that particular Burger King was paying rent to the owners of K-Mart. So they’d either pay rent to the new owners or, I guess, when their lease ran out, close up shop.
