Daily Comic Journal: December 14, 2021: “A Really Early Christmas Vacation?”
This comic is 100% true. I DID see all of these kids (with their families) at 3:30 on a Monday afternoon (what time do kids get out of school?) and yes, I did see that fat guy wearing shorts* on a December winter day and YES he was wearing a tank top**.
Too be truthful, he DID wear a small jacket when he came into the restaurant ( he immediately took it iff when he sat down) but I didn’t draw him wearing the jacket cause, well I only have four panels to work with.
* – what’s with it with these fat guys (and yes, it’s usually a fat guy) who insist on wearing shorts in the winter (in a climate where its snowy and cold)?
**- And a TANK TOP???!! People shouldn’t wear them in a restaurant in the summer let alone the winter.
Some people have a high cold tolerance. I live in Louisiana and sometimes weather can get pretty chilly. With the school I attended, the running joke was you knew it was cold if one specific student wore pants. Otherwise, he was always in shorts.
Well, I’ve lived nearly my entire life in the North, North East (Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts) where the winters can be REALLY cold and snowy. I’ve seen guys out in sub zero and high snows going out wearing shorts and even if they have a high tolerance they could do some serious damage to their health.
