Okay, sure, for a Red, White & Blue patriotic holiday this movie may not fit the spirit of the occasion (I suppose that I could have watched it last month on Father’s Day) but it was a very good film with great performances (and Oscar winner Olivia Coleman is very good as his daughter).

I’m not sure if my description of how the film was directed was coherent enough. Most movies or TV shows that cover the devastating effects of dementia or Alzheimer’s do so from the outside of that person. It covers what their loved ones have to go through. This film puts the viewer inside the head of the person suffering from this disease. I found it very effective.
