There was an intriguing TV show on NBC around 8 years called “Awake”. Here’s it’s synopsis:

“After getting in a car accident with his wife and teenage son, Detective Michael Britten finds himself alternating between two different realities. One minute he is navigating a world where his son survived but his wife perished and the next he is in another reality in which his wife is the one that survived. In order to keep both loved ones alive, Britten begins living in dueling realities. To try to regain some normalcy in his life, the detective returns to solving crimes in both worlds, with a different partner in each.”

Had this series been on one of those other networks, it would have been given plenty of time and episodes to run its course, but since it was on one of the four over the air networks, 13 episodes and out (if that).

And this wasn’t the only show that the networks tried to air that was unique and different like the pay networks offer. In nearly all cases, they never give it enough time, they’re quick to pull the plug.

That attitude help to chase me away from ABC, CBS, FOX & NBC. Well, that and all of those god awful reality shows.
